A company steeped in tradition is preparing for the journey ahead.
The company’s history goes all the way back to 1960, with development, production and marketing of film projectors. The introduction of new video technology led to production of the original products gradually being scaled back. To utilize its expertise in fine mechanics and electronics, the company searched for new business areas.
In 1975 a new tank measuring system was incorporated into a new instrumentation department. The company now also changed its name to Norapp AS.
By the early 1980s, a significant number of tank monitoring systems had been sold and installed to the land-based oil industry.
In 1984, the Tiedemanns Group took over the company’s operations. Norapp expanded its product range to include addition and automation systems for oil depots.
In the 90’s we invested heavily in innovation through product development with new and advanced software solutions called Accella.
In the years that followed, the company established itself as a leading supplier of automation and administration of depots within the land-based oil and gas industry under the name Petro Online. Since 2022, Morten Solberg became the biggest shareholder in the company.
The global energy sector is undergoing a transformation, and its essential that the storage terminal industry keeps pace with this. We are no exception. Our ambition is to be part of this journey for the years to come.
First and foremost, we must secure and develop our existing customers’ socially critical installations, where Accella TAS is the management system for large liquid process facilities.
At the same time, we will position Accella for a broader market. Our expertise over many years is reflected in the Accella solution. Together with great partners and collaboration we can deliver Accella globally.
Accella Solutions AS is a Norwegian technology company that develops and supplies systems for process automation. The company is behind the market-leading system Accella TAS, which manages the flow of products and information in complex tank terminal environments.
